I have been a teacher for over thirty years and a writer for as long as I could hold a pen.

Writing has always been how I make sense of the world: whether through poetry that captures a fleeting feeling, or essays that explore the deeper undercurrents of life such as memory, identity, silence, illness, family.

Much of my work is rooted in the personal, but I aim to offer connection, recognition, or simply a pause in the day.

I write about:

  • The complexities of family and memory

  • The inner life — mental health, reflection, resilience

  • Moments of stillness, loss, and longing

  • The awkward, the overlooked, the unresolved

When I'm not writing, you'll likely find me walking on the beach where I live.

This site is a space for my poetry, essays, and thoughts-in-progress a kind of open notebook.

Thank you for visiting, and if something here speaks to you, I’m glad.
